Andrea Loveland

Andrea Loveland joined the WSGS in 2014 as a geologist in the Hazards, Mapping, and Water Resources group. Her expertise includes geologic mapping, structural analysis, seismic interpretation, surface-to-subsurface fracture evaluation in petroleum basins, and GIS. In addition to her involvement in geologic mapping and various topical studies at WSGS, Andrea manages the state fossil inventory and is a key contributor on the WSGS website team.

Andrea holds a B.S. in geology from the University of Wyoming and an M.S. from the University of Alaska Fairbanks where she specialized in structural geology. Prior to the WSGS, Andrea was a geologist at the Alaska Division of Geological & Geophysical Surveys where she conducted field work for the North Slope Program and in the Bristol Bay-Alaska Peninsula region.
